While Keys Hotels Travel & Tours (K’s) Company is basically a business profit making company, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a key part of the Company’s policy as a strategy of sustainable tourism by investing to the community.

Execution of the CSR policy is done by the company it’s self including collaboration with other interested parties (local and international organizations/institutions) in the area of their interest. Such areas include improvement of health, water and sanitation, education, environmental protection, food security, sports, etc. To accomplish this, K’s organises charity activities (mountains climbing, safaris etc) with interested parties.

Health:

Keys Hotels Travel & Tours Company in collaboration with Zerf Production International, based in Canada, has embarked on Humanitarian mission such as delivering medicine, medical equipment, food, clothes, and educational materials to the needy people in Tanzania. K’s company conducts regular First AID courses to guides who also apply the knowledge to handle minor incidences in their respective families/communities.

Sports:

Keys Hotels Travel & Tours Company is one of the sponsors of the famous Kilimanjaro International Marathon which attracts participants all over the world. The Company is also one of the sponsors of Mountain Bike Race (KiliMAN) including Safari rally. K’s company has been donating sports gears like footballs to local based schools in Kilimanjaro.

Education:

In recognition of good education as a key strategy to development, K’s company has contributed in construction/renovation of classrooms at primary and secondary school levels. Computers have been supplied to various schools. This has been championed by K’s company’s founder Mr. Philemon Ndesamburo. Some poor children who cannot afford school fees/requirements have been supported for their education.

Food security:

Vulnerable segment of the local community have been supported with food and water including provision of small farming plots for food production as a strategy for self reliance.
